We deeply appreciate the support and love we received for our collection and we want to take a moment to slow down and appreciate some of the powerful gemstones that inspire our stunning colourways and the magic these crystals bring into our lives.
AGATE
First we explore agate, a dreamy type of translucent quartz that inspired our new earthy yet ethereal AGATE TIE DYE. The name “agate” is derived from the River Achates in Sicily, where the stone was crafted into jewelry and artifacts many centuries ago. This beautiful stone is renowned for its stabilising and strengthening power, encouraging and supporting emotional, physical and intellectual balance.
This beauty also aids in self-harmony, balancing Yin and Yang energies, or positive and negative forces. Agate can also help to facilitate self-acceptance and self-love, elevating your consciousness and awareness of oneness. Like our beautiful tie dye pieces, this incredible stone firmly grounds you in the earth, while allowing your mind to explore the stars.
TOURMALINE
Next we explore one of our all-time favourite stones, tourmaline. An amazingly powerful crystal, this beauty even holds an electric charge when you heat it up or cool it down! Derived from the Sinhalese word “Toramali” meaning “mixed gems”, perfectly named since it comes in so many different colour varieties. From the flashy “Paraiba” variety, to the emerald-like “Chrome” variety (which inspired our TOURMALINE TIE DYE colourway), this stone is truly a chameleon!
This stunning crystal is calming and grounding, encouraging balance, inspiration and positivity. Each colourway specializes in certain properties, but green varieties of tourmaline are especially rejuvenating and revitalizing. This beauty also especially supports the Heart Chakra, opening the heart and allowing warm feelings and positivity to envelope you. Tourmaline is truly a magical gem.
TIGERS EYE
ROSE QUARTZ
The last stone we’ll explore here (although we could really go on forever) is Rose Quartz, a stunning heart-stone that is revered by cultures all around the world. It’s hard not to be charmed by this gorgeous pink crystal that inspired our new ROSE QUARTZ TIE DYE. This beauty is deeply connected to the Heart Chakra, purifying the heart and opening it to unconditional self-love.
It also encourages inner healing, deepening friendships and feelings of inner peace. It can help in times of grief by dispelling negativity and promoting the loving vibes of self-trust, self-worth, healing and communication. This stone is closely in-tune with goddess energy and the divine feminine, closely aligned with the planet Venus, nurturing love, beauty and compassion. We’re so happy that we were able to take a deep breath, slow down and talk a little bit more about the abundance of inspiration we receive from the incredible natural world around us.
