As we near the end of the year and we are about to cross the threshold of the Winter Solstice, what are you dreaming awake for 2023?

Once upon a time we lived by the sun and the moon, moving in alignment with the seasons and in greater harmony with nature.
We felt inside our bones and understood in our hearts how we are connected to the vaster rhythms of creation, able to both harness and surrender to the cycles of our earth. With this awareness and understanding we would come together in celebration, prayer and ritual to utilise the energies of that time in all the ways that would support collective abundance, growth and healing.
We are slowly remembering the power of listening to nature and to creation and we are relearning the magic of the sun, the illuminating nature of the moon and the wisdom of the planets. We are rediscovering the profound potential and wisdom that is held in the darkness and within stillness.
The Winter Solstice is one of these magical moments – it is a time to embrace the mid winter energies and to lean into the deep darkness where dreams lie and spirit lives, waiting for us to dare to dive in.
Winter itself is a time when we are invited to turn inwards, and as nature reflects to us, to shed and let go of the old with the trust that from the decay, comes fertile earth to grow the new. It is the longest, darkest night of the year, a point of time when we can enter into and harness the darkness and stillness for all the magic it holds, just before life begins to re-emerge with the light of a new solar cycle.
Before the nurturing light of the sun begins to penetrate the Northern Hemisphere for more time each day, we can also ask ourselves what we want to nurture in our lives and the world around us.

What visions and dreams are we holding in our hearts and how can we cultivate and support them to unfold as the energies of nature begin to move and turn outwards carrying us into the New Year…
Solstices are rituals in themselves, woven within the sacred play of creation, calling and waiting for us to join them in their dance. Let’s step in and join the dance!
